Vigneron: Eric Texier
Eric moved into wine making in the late 1990s after working in the leisure and nuclear industries for many years (though never at the same time!). He took a methodical approach to his new career path, studying history books, topography, maps and spending countless hours in local cafes trying to find out which vines and which vineyards would be best for his project. As well as travelling to many wine areas of France he also visited Oregon and Piedmont to learn how wine making was done in these two very different and very influential areas of U.S wine production.
Eric practices minimal intervention, seeing his role as merely a guide to nature, allowing it to do what it does best. The end result is wines that are full of character and lively, vibrant fruit.
